2 pound weight gain overnight! I stayed within my calorie allotment for the day - but went out for Thai food last night. Guess what?! 2 pounds heavier. Not too down about this (because i am counting on it being the sodium)....hoping the scale will be a better friend tomorrow! Lots of H20 today!

I gained SEVEN pounds over night recently after Chinese food for lunch and pizza for dinner. But I lost it in two days. Excess sodium really can do amazing things to the scale lol.0

I eat Thai food every Saturday for lunch and always see a small gain the next day! It is almost always gone the following day. Might be the sodium, though, it is also very hard to gauge how they prepare the food in Thai restaurants (or any restaurant) so we could be eating more then we think. I will never ever give up my Thai food. YUM!!
Edit for me posting before my morning coffee. Spelling struggles and words missing.0 -
It's sodium and water weight. Actual fat weight gain would be pretty much impossible considering 1 Lb of fat gain would be 3,500 calories over your TDEE. For me, with a TDEE of 2,596...that would mean I would need to eat 6,096 calories to gain just one pound of fat overnight, and over 12,000 calories to gain 2 Lbs of fat overnight...I'm pretty sure I'd be puking my guts out before I hit either of those totals.
I don't know exactly what your TDEE is, but I'll bet it's in the neighborhood of 1,800 calories...that would mean you would have had to go to town on almost 9,000 calories to actually gain 2 Lbs of fat.0 -
I'd say it's definitely the sodium, drink plenty of water today and it should be gone soon!0
