Magic of Tea

Before I gave up and gained all my weight back I found something MAGICAL that really helped me along the way.
TEA.
Cheap tea, expensive tea, any tea.
Sweet, herbal, plain, hot, cold.....it really helps.
See I'm a huge soda drinker. Every since I started back at school from 9-5 I've been tempted to buy a soda every day. But I'm going back on track and thought I'd share.
Replacing one bottle/glass of soda with tea, or even replacing your morning coffee with a black tea, WILL HELP.
Green teas help weight weight loss by building up your metabolism, black teas wake you up, peppermint controls your appetite (so it's wonderful before bed!), oolong promotes fat burn, and rose tea helps with digestion.
And if you want to make your own tea by getting a steeper, one of those herb spoons, or even wrapping the loose herbs in a paper towel here's some herbs that also help:
Ginseng: For stamina and fatigue (instead of soda...on the go premake the tea and heat up, or chill with low-fat sweetner)
Ginger: Cleanses the body and helps digestive system. This is good after dinner
Cinnamon: Helps with blood sugar. My friend is diabetic and instead of two glasses of diet soda a day she drinks one can and glass of cinnamon tea with peppermint. Sometimes she adds a pinch to sweet teas!
Lastly: I know a lot of people who start off dieting don't like the taste of splenda or other sweetener replacements. But when people switch to tea, especially when they diet, I notice they over sweeten it. Just because it's a replacement doesn't mean it has to have as much sugar as a soda. One thing I've invested in is German Rock Sugar from Teavana. At first I put a teaspoon every time, but after I developed a tea for the tea and started to try sweeter herbs, I'm down to just a pinch full of the rocks (so 3-4 small pieces) each cup. Still less than a spoonful or two.
Sorry for the rant, but I hope this helps someone! It really did help me and I'm stocking back up so I can re-lose this weight FOR GOOD!
Best wishes!

I'm pretty sure tea has magical healing powers.... everything seems better after a good cuppa. Although it's Tetley for me, none of these fancy flavours, lol. No sugar and skim milk of course ;-)0
