I work retail as a dept manager. I'm on my feet 8 hours a day. Lifting boxes, climbing ladders, lots of walking. Can I count this as exercise the days that I work? If so what should I add it as? Any ideas would be appreciated!

This isn't something you should count as exercise. If you set up your profile properly, then it already takes your daily activity into account. In other words, if you set iy up saying you had a sedentary lifestyle, then it would give you fewer calories than it would have if you had set it up saying that you were a waitress and on your feet all day for a living.

If you really want, you can add it. But you're only cheating yourself.

I would say no not exercise BUT you should have your activity level set on a higher setting when you did your profile.

    Here are some questions:

    Is this a new job?

Has the activity component of this job changed significantly very recently?

Does this activity represent a progressive overload--in other words does it involve increasing intensity, resistance, speed, etc every week?

Have you been losing weight since you started this job?

If the answers are "no", then this is just the normal level of activity, one that your body is already accustomed to.
