Hey there! My name is Kimberly, I am twenty-five years old, and I am from Ontario. I used to be what I thought was a perfect size - medium, average - not a pile of bones, but also not a pile of fat. Size 8 or something like that - about 135 pounds or so. I was pretty healthy, ate a lot of good food, and I got my exercise.

But the change in lifestyle caught up with me. When I moved back home from the city (after living there for a few years), I put on a lot of weight because I wasn't walking everywhere like I used to, or out dancing around at the club. I also have a fiance that LOVES junkfood, and I went from being a health concious Vegetarian to a junkaholic. Over a period of a year or so, I gained about 40 pounds, and I feel awful.

About a few months ago, I decided that I needed a change. I'd like to lose all the weight I gained - that 40 pounds. I wanted to fit into all my old clothes. I don't have a lot of coin, so going out to buy a new wardrobe isn't exactly in the forecast anytime soon.

I've started drinking a lot of water, eating a lot more healthy, keeping a food journal of what I have been eating, and exercising by going to a local fitness boot camp about 5 times per week for about a half an hour. I work at home, so my job is very sedentary. I got off track for a few weeks, but this message is me getting back on track.

Over the past three months, I have lost about 10 pounds. All of that was lost within the past 1 1/2 months. I began exercising three months ago, but the pounds didn't budge. I thought my diet was fine until I decided to start writing it down. Damn was I ever wrong, and looking at the numbers made me see that.

So, yes... that's my story in a nutshell. I just want to be able to fit back into my old clothes - the ones I worked hard on altering and customizing to my liking. I guess you can sort of call me a punk/goth when it comes to clothing and musical tastes, but I've never been keen on labels, and it really doesn't matter - I am what I am, I guess, and I am here for the same reason as the rest of you: I just want to be happy and healthy in my own skin.
