Calorie Count

So I know how important it is to eat what they recommend for a calorie count on here and I really do try but I honestly have never ate a lot. My problem was always eating fast food and other "crap" and then sitting on my butt in front of the tv. So now that I am eating healthy and exercising every day I don't hit anywhere near where I should and I'm not hungry either. I try to force myself to eat but I still don't get close. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get myself closer?
Thanks!!!
Thanks!!!

I have similar issues... all the years of attempting weightloss I was told to eat less and I really do believe I had thrown myself into the starvation mode different times due to hardly eating and with that I'm just not used to eating this much food... but I have tried to find foods that are good for me but have higher caloric value to them... cutting back on the lettuce and celery... I'm still eating it but in smaller amounts to make room for the other foods. Face it... life is an experiment and we are our guinea pigs... Just keep trying to figure things in such as lentils and salmon (for examples)... good for you and a bit higher in calories. I'm sure others have great menus in their diaries... I cook for myself only and that is really hard to make things that reach my caloric and nutritional goals but it can be done - and yes, it is hard to get used to eating right but we are doing this for a healthy future... right? :flowerforyou:0

Well peanut butter has 180 calories (on average) in 2 tbsp. I personally don't like it, but if you put it on a slice of bread it's at least 225 calories. I rely on almonds to help me get to my calories on some days...80 calories in about 12 almonds and they're quite good for your heart. I allow myself to have some chocolate on good days as well...depending on the chocolate, it's usually 100-150 calories in half a serving (a few pieces).0
