Recipe (makes 16 servings):
2 cups boiled red kidney beans, drained
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup agave syrup
1/2 cup natural brown sugar
2 tbsp natural peanut butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 350. In a blender or food processor, blend kidney beans and syrups until smooth. Add remaining ingredients one by one until completely blended. Spread batter about 3/4 inch thick onto greased baking pan. Bake for 30 minutes.
I don't like my food to be TOO sweet; I find it nauseating. Don't get me wrong, these are sweet as any dessert should be, but they're definitely not slap-me-in-the-sweet-tooth sweet. However, if you'd like to make yours sweeter, add 2-4 packets of Splenda. If you'd prefer to keep them nice and natural, add 1/8 cup maple syrup and 1/4 cup brown sugar along with some instant oats to keep the batter thick enough. Keep in mind the calorie count will obviously go up, but you'll be avoiding the nasty chemicals in the Splenda.

Here's what they look like with a drizzle of 2 tbsp chocolate chips melted with 1/2 tbsp canola oil:

They don't taste of beans in the slightest. Just like cookies don't taste of eggs.
They're absolutely delicious!0 -
I think the drizzle of chocolate could be all the difference it needs.0

Maybe I missed it, but what is considered a 'serving'?
Last time I made a similar recipe, black beans instead, I ate most of the pan.
Bakers beware, you may want to make a mug version or hide the rest in the deep freezer or share with people.
I second chocolate beans. so much faster than making brownies too. Not for everyone though.0 -

When speaking of any recipe for baked goods, a serving is always one single unit. One cookie, one cupcake, one slice of pizza, one brownie.0 -

FYI - my roommate, who eats "normal" junk food, says these taste great and, in fact, better than a handful of other brownies she's tasted! So there's your proof!0
