What are the healthiest sushi ROLLS? And don't tell me to get them with brown rice! If I'm going to have sushi, I'm going to do it right.

Agreed! I had the same question and when I go out for sushi now, I just try to order something that doesn't have tempura in it and california roll crab mix is made with mayo, so I stay away from that if I can as well. Fish, crab, etc., with out a crazy amount of cream cheese seems like the best choice to me. Good luck!

Ask them if they make a roll that's wrapped with cucumbers instead of sea weed and rice it's so good the cucumber makes it refreashing and i got mine with salmon I can't re call what the name of the roll was but if you ask they might carry it...

I don't know what's the healthiest but if you're concerned about calories you'll probably want to stay away from Dynamite Rolls as they've got tempura prawn in them. Kappa maki with tuna, salmon, cucumber or Japanese pickle shouldn't be too bad.

Personally, I don't order tempura or any fried rolls, but my favorites are always salmon plain and tuna plain. I'll get a rainbow roll sometimes too, a mix of 3 types of fish, avocado, cucumber and carrots usually. Yum. I just don't get the fried and cream cheese rolls unless it's a treat.

Gee, you took an important option for it being "healthy" off the list. Switching to brown rice would be a much healthier choice than white rice.
  • Personally I like sushi with brown rice...but you can also do sushi sans the rice and that's great too. Go for nori rolls which are wrapped in seaweed, incredibly healthy, with eel or salmon or just veggies. As long as you don't get the creamy sauces, cream cheese or spicy rolls you are eating a very healthy meal.
