  • Here we shop Aldi's and Pricerite. I get most my groceries at either one or the other depends on if I need meat or not. Our Pricerite has a better selection and prices on Meat. and with having 2 little ones I need to save as much money as possible the rest goes into formula and diapers.

I love Aldis I buy all my canned goods, condiments, my sons lunch items for school like applesauce, granola bars, fruit roll ups, etc., milk, eggs, cheese, bread, needless to say just about everything but my meat and veggies. I have had horrible luck with their produce it also goes bad quickly or isn't any good to begin with. I have from time to time bought iceburg lettuce and celery without trouble. I also do not like their bottled water or their yogurt. They are the cheapest in town for milk (under $2) and I have never had a problem with it going bad ever but in my house we go through milk like crazy. I do however shop on weeknights because otherwise there are insane lines and crazy people if you go on weekends. I am lucky enough to have 3 to pick from. My dad also loves it he lives no where near one so everytime he comes to visit he runs over to grab what he loves to take home he can't get over the prices.

I love Aldi's and much prefer to buy my produce there... I have never had a problem with it rotting. We love their bacon wrapped filets and I buy the 93/7 ground beef, frozen chicken and frozen fish there all the time without any problems. The only thing I am not super keen on it the lunch meat.

I HATE shopping at Aldi. It's always crowded. There are tons of screaming kids. People clog up the narrow aisles and just stand there chatting on their cell phones.

That said, I shop there ALL THE TIME.

    because I'm poor as ****.

Seriously, I have no money. Aldi's is a life-saver when it comes to feeding a family of 5 on a laughably low budget.

Last week they had nicer pomegranates than the high-end grocer where my life-partner works.

Yes! Good for the budget! The Aldi's near me are nice, and I like shopping there when I remember to shop there!

I love Aldis too!! Now I know this isn't the healthies, but for a nice treat... I LOVE their one brands thin crust pizza! I swear it is better than if I order it from Pizza Hut or wherever.
