How often do I weigh myself?

I just joined MFP a week ago and was weighing myself everyday. I lost 2 pounds in the first 2 days, but haven't lost anymore since and I'm getting frustrated. Should I weigh myself once a week, every other day...what has worked for others? And is there a better day over the other?

    Weight can fluctuate A LOT on a day to day basis. Its recommended you do it once a week in the morning right when you wake up, but its not going to kill you to do it more often. It can be discouraging to see your weight go up or down in an impractical way, you just have to make sure you keep it in mind.

    Once a week or every other week is good

    I use to do daily, then it became a bad obsession. SO Hubby is hiding the scale I will only do once a week

    I am a daily weigher, every morning when I get up, just to check. You may find, as many including me do, that your weight drops in stages, like nothing for a few days, then bam, drops a pound or more seemingly overnight, and it tends to stay off

    I would say do what you are comfortable with, but if lack of scale movement is going to make you fret, then only once a week or even longer
