I am 41 and need to lose about 20-25 lbs. It was so much easier to lose when I was in my 20s! My wife and daughter has started using this program and so I thought I would jump in too.
I weight a little over 200 - never been this much in my life. I am 6'1" so not really that overweight - but I am used to being 175-180 for the last 20 years. I tore my left MCL two years ago and the weight has creeped up on me
Thanks for the support everyone!

You can do it Stuart! Joining your family will be wonderful. Things do change quite a bit after 40 but it's never to late. I'm a firm believer that changing the way we eat is 80 % of the battle. The rest is either staying active doing what you you love or challenge yourself to be the fit person you want to become. Your body is quite smart so figure out what are the best food. For me it's high protein, low carb. I've always craved salty things so I have to watch how much I take in or the scale won't move. Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like )0

Well to start at 41 is young .... do it now it only gets harder as you get older, I know my 3rd daughter is your age.
You are very lucky because you have the best support you could ask for, a wife and daughter ! Make little changes, everyday start over, try the hardest thing first, like the can of soda or beer, then try another , we didn't put on our weight over night so it takes time and effort. Make friend you can do anything you set your mind to. Good Luck and Welcome !0 -
It indeed takes much more work than when we were in our 20's. I used to eat all the time - horribly - and never really had to work too hard in the gym - and stayed fit.
30 came it that all changed. I have had to work harder and harder.
It wasn't until I hit 47 that I said "no more".
Hang out here, the gym and eliminate toxic foods and you will succeed.0
