Vegetable portions

Hi everyone,
Well I know portion control is important and eating in moderation ect..
But I want to know if it's okay that I eat large amounts of vegetables?
I know it may sound silly to some people but I really like vegetables, and I'm seriously curious!

For example at dinner I could eat chicken breast and salad, but ill eat like 6-7 cups if it, or ill have chicken with 2-3 cups of mashed turnips and a cup of broccoli..

Is that a terrible thing to do? Or is it ok because it's low calories?

It's great, as long as the salad isn't drenched with dressing.
  • I never have less than 3/4's of a plate of vegetables with a small portion of protein. Love them!!! My favourite meal is Lemon Stir fry - every vegetable I can lay my hands on - green beans, edamame beans, yellow beans, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower ( all colours), peppers, Bokchoy,( any Asian cabbage), leeks, onions red or brown chopped up and thrown into the wok, squeeze the juice of half a lemon over them and stir/ steam. Yummy and so fast.

Nothing wrong with eating tons of vegetables. Just make sure you're not overdoing it with the dressing/croutons/salt/etc. as well.
  • Ok thank you everyone!

And that stir fri sounds delicious!
