Advice Please

I am new to this site and have been faithfully using it for about 5 days now. I add every bit of food that passes my lips and I have started and excercise routine. My problemis I have a 1200 calorie limit but at the end of everyday it says that I have anywere from 400 to as much as 700 calories left. I am eating sensibly and am not hungry. My exercise burn is between 200 and 400 daily. Am I supposed to be adding in some extra calories to hit the 1200 per day?

    eat the calories. If you dont eat enough your body will go into starvation mode and you will store fat

    I've heard that you should definitely eat your base 1200 calories, and eat back at least part of what you burned with exercise. My advice is to choose nutritional ways to fill the calories (as opposed to how many cookies can I eat?)! :)
  • Eat those calories. :) If I only ate 600 calories I think I would pass out.

    ughh how do you have that many calories left over! Im also set at 1200 cals and I am hungry all the time!!!!!!!!

    I have only been using this site for a few days, but it seems like if your total calorie count is too low, it will let you know with a little notice at the bottom of your diary page. I know that I have a base of about 1800, and I am trying to keep about 200 below that before exercise, so it is a little easier for me to keep the base 1200. Just keep a small, healthy snack near you, that way if you feel ill at all, you can bring your calorie count up.

    What do you have your weekly weightloss goal set at?
    It would also help if you make your food diary public so we can see what you are eating.

    I always eat my exercise calories. Your muscles need fuel to replenish after you work them.

    I will admit that I use some of them to have treats though. It helps keep me sane.....

    Wow thanks for all the replies, How do you set the food diary to be public?? I would love some imput I that.

    I know that it is in your settings, click on "Diary Settings", then at the bottom of the page, you can select what level of privacy you have for your diary.
