Trying to get back on track!

I have been of my rocker for a few months now and I'm trying to get back on. I am 5'6" and weigh about 222 I need to lose at the minium 72 lbs, I realize that it takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and effort but I seem to struggle with the poor eating. I have a large family with 5 kids ranging from 15 to 7 months. No matter what I do junk food is always around and I don't seem to help myself fight the urges. Does anyone have any advice? Is anyone in the same predict ament as I am?

Don't buy junk food. If it isn't around, you won't be temped to eat it! Instead, stock up on veggies and fruits. Fruits have the sweetness if you crave sugar, and raw veggies have the crunch of a great snack. It's a mental matter! Good luck!0

Hey... I am almost the exact same height and weight as you AND suffer from the same temptations. PLANNING IS KEY....lets do this together!!!! I am new here so dont know how to add friends or anything but if you like you can add me and we can support each other!!! I have lost this amount of weight before and KNOW i can do it again....just gotta find and KEEP the will power!!!0

You sound like a younger version of me. I also have 5 kids stretched out over several years. There's 17 years between my first and last child. My youngest is now 13. My advice is to do what you can to get yourself in the right frame of mind. Realize that this is a lifetime commitment, and be ok with that. Log everything and try to eat before you get hungry.
