First 5k on Feb 10

I want to sign up for my first 5k on February 10th. I have done the couch to 5k program and into week 8. I can run for 30 minutes straight and hope to continue my training that will prepare me for the race on February 10th. Do you think it is too soon? It is likely to be cold out as it is NJ. I do most of my runs at the gym on a treadmill. I know this is for myself and no one else so it doesn't matter, but I also don't want to set my self up for total defeat.

    I would be worried about the difference in air temp/moisture etc....perhaps adding some walking/jogging outside as safely as you can to get that portion of training in there too... I have done a 5k but it was walk/run and it was nice out :) I live in MN and I can tell you I wont be doing one in Feb :) Perhaps April or May :) .Kudos for givin it a go! good luck and dont give it up! :)
