So let me first say, It's good to be back. For those who dont know anything about me, I was here for a about a week last time and lost my resolve rather quickly. Here's a rundown of what Ive learned here lately.
1. I have a crumbling self-image and self-worth. Ive always struggled with those two issues growing up.
2. i weigh about 20 lbs more than i did last time, which doesnt help to see your distance from your goal go up, instead of down.
2.Kinda offstopic, Ive struggled alot lately with who I am and why im here. Still working on those two.

Anywyas, for the last two days Ive dealt with a physical problem, that quite frankly, scares the hell out of me. Ive had this pain in my chest. Its not really a bad pain, just kinda dull. Only really hurts when i move my right arm a certain way. Im sure its not a heart attack , or why would it last so long? I think it may be the way im sleeping. But still, chest pain aint nothing to deal with. I think thats kinda galvanized my resolve here. Ive decided too, that this quest needs a song. Something that when I hear it it pushes me over the top. I was thinking Bon Jovi's "Blaze Of Glory". What do you all think? Any suggestions? Am I the only one who has a song like that? Anyways, when I 1rst signed up, I was planning on getting a membership to a gym, but my car's started having problems and its been downhill since, sucking up ALL of my remaining funds. I think for now its just me, my ipod, my 300+ pds, and an open road. Anyways, Im back and will be checking in alot. So leave me some love

Welcome back and dont run away again. Try to focus more on health and not thin. I always wanted to be thin and now at my age and in all my wisdom I finally see that I should have been focused on health and if I had i would now probaby be thin. Weight comes off a person who is motovated to move. I dont even think you have to be in a gym for hours a day. I believe that if we walked or rode a bike for the most part of where we needed to get too and if we made healthier and portion controled food decisions the weight would just natually come off. God gave us these bodies and I think he intended for us to treat them with respect. I am guilty of the over indulging and the lazy mans way of not exercising. As a result I am very overweight. I wish someone had told me these facts a long time ago. I would then not have wasted time on fad diets and other unreasonble tactics of loosing weight. I would have just eaten right and moved more. Good luck in your new venture and just know that you are not alone and yes you can succeed!

I love the song idea, and the song. Good luck!
  • Welcome back! Remember the only way you can fail at this is TO QUIT! DON'T QUIT!

I am not able for medical reasons to exercise like I used to so for right now I'm using "the open road" and it is working perfectly. You don't need anything fancy so there is no excuse. You can do this.

Now...as far as your chest pain, there can be a zillion reasons why but heart attack is doubtful. However, I would suggest going to your doc and getting a little check-up. Use this time to talk to him/her about your concerns and goals and have another appointment scheduled so he/she can see your progress. Have the doc hold you accountable as well.

Now go drink some water and go for a walk and report back! LOL!
  • Lol....Thanks Drill Sargent!...Actually, Just got back. We have a 6 mile "track" that goes all the way around out housing complex here, and my legs are on fire. Not to mention the harsh hills. Feels good though. Takes me back to the days of football practice. Thanks for the support guys, glad to be in the company of like minded people.
