Working out in the pool...

Recently I've been incorporating the pool into my gym regimen. I typically do standard swimming, but sometimes I do specific exercises using the water and various foam tools for resistance. I find that I get an amazing full-body workout in the pool, and I feel better during and after as compared to standard weight-lifting or cardio.
I know that the stereotype calls for me to be at least 50 to work out in the pool, but I'm 26 with healthy joints, etc. I just enjoy the feeling of swimming and I feel like I can work out longer there than on other equipment.
Does anyone have a great pool exercise to share? Has anyone had a lot of success in getting fitter/healthier using a pool? I'm interested in hearing suggestions and success stories.
