Timex Ironman 150 lab watch

does anyone use this watch to track your running distance? i'm looking for a very basic/very cheap (hubby's out of work right now) watch that will track my distance and possibly pace for running. i found this watch (timex ironman 150 lab watch) on activegearup.com and since it's only $40 i'm considering buying it. of course with the price i'm skeptical it will in fact track my distance (this is really more important than anything right now). advice would be great. i do not want to spend over $50 on a watch the cheaper the better.

  • Hey Holly, I'm in the market too, I'm getting sick of bringing my smartphone, I end up texting and taking calls on it in the middle of my runs, which screws me up :) Maybe take a look at the Garmin Forerunner 10. It's $100+ but gets good reviews and has a lot of the tracking features on some of their much more expensive watches as well.

hahaha thanks for responding pete. i would love a garmin but right now with hubby not working (he got laid off after thanksgiving) it's not in the cards. wonder if i sign up for garmin's newsletters or fb page if i can get a discount? gonna have to look into it. sunday's run made me realize how much i need something that tells me my distance (i only have a dumbphone) lol.
