Hi my name is Chrissy. I'm 21 years old and i work at a dog kennel. I know i don't weight a whole lot , but i'd really like to get toned up, eat better, and loose at least 25lbs. I'm not doing it to impress anyone, im just wanting to do this so i can feel better about myself. It is somewhat hard for me to eat 100% healthy with the fact that i live with my mom and to me it seems like it would be easier if i was living on my own (but i can't afford that right now). I'd like to work out a lot more, but i don't like doing it in front of people.

Hi Chrissy, I worked as a Humane Agent for a few years at a shelter - I know you get exercise there... The critters keep you jumping... If you just start logging your foods and keeping a watch on your nutrition levels plus drink your 64 oz of water daily you should see a drop in weight... Just eat the calories that MFP suggests...I know when you eat with Mom it's rough unless she's on board (Mine never was...) but you can make subtle changes and maybe even introduce her to a new way of eating for her health. Do you have a dog? Walking is one of the best exercises there is. You can do this... We are all here rooting for you!! :flowerforyou:

It is tough when you aren't the one cooking. This weekend my boyfriend and I went back to his parents and I my body doesn't feel as good just from those few days of not eating very healthy. What I always try to do is cut back on the portion size I would normaly take, and take extra veggies. My boyfriend and I both love broccoli and green beans...we usually have each of these at least one dinner out of the week. And I've been trying to find new veggies for us to try (like zucchini and yellow squash stir fry). If you are still hungry after you get done eating but don't think the dinner is very healthy waite a half hour or hour and have some fruit.
I am the same way about working out..i don't like to do it in front of anyone. I recently got a wii and got the active game and love it. Some days my boyfriend opens at his job, and other days he closes, so I schedule my workouts around that and plan to workout when I know hes not going to be home (otherwise it doesn't get done!). I like to go for walks outside and would love to run but I don't want people to see me starting and stoping because I know I can't go for long lol. Crazy, I know! So, with my wii game I've started running in place inside (you could do this on your own too and just time yourself), and hopefully soon I will feel like I can go out and run around my neighborhood!
