Too Little Calories?

I eat a vegetarian-based diet, meaning that 80-85% of my diet is fruit and veggie-based. The remaining percentage is divided between twice-weekly consumption of a hamburger or baked fish and boiled egg whites (no yolks) about three times a week. I am lactose-intolerant and caffeine-intolerant. Anyway, the further I delve into this vegetarian-based diet... the more shocked I become at the amount of fruits/veggies that I have to consume to maintain my daily caloric quota. Most days, I can't even get close to my caloric goal despite feeling like I have done nothing but eat all day! Lol. It is kind of amusing. I am never hungry nor do I have any food cravings... I feel absolutely fine and full of energy. As my weight loss has been slow and steady and I never feel out-of-energy or deprived, do you suppose it is possible that some people don't need to maintain a caloric level that others deem necessary? My caloric goal, combined with the moderate daily cardio exercises that I engage in, is around 1400, but all the fruit /veggie food that I eat only puts my daily intake levels around 900-1000 calories a day. On days that I eat the hamburger or fish... I get about 1400 calories.

try to get it above 1000 but as long as you exercise your metabolism will stay up... try to eat nuts (almonds!) or beans to get your calorie intake up and protein up0
