headaches

Yesterday I ate very healthy and clean, something my body isn't used to, and I ended up getting a bad headache that still hasn't gone away. I don't drink caffiene so thats not a reason. I'm wondering if I put my body into some kind of shock because its so used to unhealthy calorie loaded meals, whereas yesterday I was under my recommended intake. Help please!

Or maybe you just have a headache today. I do and I haven't done anything different at all.0

I found that when I changed the way I was eating I had headaches at first. After a few days they went away. Make sure to drink plenty of water and stick with the healthy eating. It will be worth it!0

Actually my headache started before I went to bed lastnight and because of it I was unable to sleep well Thanks walkwithme1, I was sure thats what it was going to add up too but thought I would get some advice. Yes it will definitely be worth it in the end!0

If you drastically changed your sugar that may be the problem too. My body had to get use to all the changes. Now, if I am eating the right way and put something bad in my system it makes me really sick. (Which is a good thing)0

Pay attention to how you feel after you eat. Eating clean shouldn't mean only eating only 1100 cals/day. When I was new at all of this stuff, I thought it'd be a great idea to only eat 1200cals/day when my body needed WAY more. If I don't eat enough I'll always know it- I'll eat headaches all throughout the day until I eat a big meal.0

What do you mean by very healthy and clean? Many take this to be a diet that is actually quite restrictive, low in calories or low in one nutrient or another. Did you drink and eat enough to keep your blood sugar up?0

Lots and lots and lots of water! Also, try having some peppermint or pineapple!0

it could be low blood sugar? also try spacing your meals out a little more and be sure your eating a little something every 2-3 hours. if you did exercise on top of what this site recommend then maybe it was too few calories. try eating fruit when your feel the headaches come on and a little more protein and healthy carbs to keep you level.0

I just went and peeked at your profile hoping to sneak a peek at your diary. Since we're not friends I obviously couldn't see it but I did notice that your profile says you're pre-diabetic. One thing you might want to look at in your diary is your sugar intake (natural and added.) Blood sugar raising rapidly then dropping can cause a headache. Also if I don't eat enough I can get a headache. Like someone else said, make sure you're drinking enough water too because dehydration is definitely a cause of headache. Just some things to think about! Hope you feel better soon.0
