I have just joined this group at the recommendation of my daughter who is a nutritionist. One of the biggest plusses for me was the companion iPhone app. My problem with weight loss (5'3" stalled at 125 lbs with a goal of 118) turned out to be eating far too few calories, thereby shutting down my metabolism. When I tracked what I was actually eating (and thought it was a lot), it turned out to be around 900 calories a day...then subtract the 400 or so I burn up on treadmill and Wii. Yikes. So now I have a goal of 1400 per day and am using this site to make sure I eat enough. I think once I get the experience of knowing my usual foods' caloric values, I won't have to rely so much on inputting. Leaving for a cruise Friday so it's nice to know I can have the occasional dessert or glass of wine with less worry. Good luck to everybody and happy to be a member of this community.
