Calorie count on swimming

Has anyone worn a Polar watch while swimming and gotten a calorie count ?? i have tried but mine wont work ??? just wondering roughly what a hours worth of swimming would burn calorie wise ?

There are a few answers to this if you look in the swimming group. I've not used my HRM in the pool, but there are various others who have with equally variable results.0

I've done it and it works fine. Maybe it depends on what type of Polar it is?
Mine is an F6.
I've been told you just have to make sure to rinse the electrodes afterwards, because the chloride in the pool might damage it...0
