Foods and advice to boost the immune system

As it is the season for spreading coughs and diseases I'd really like to equip my body as best as I can to fight anything it might come into contact with.

Which foods are best to be eaten to make me be as healthy and immune as I can be?! Do you have any other tips for staying healthy too?

Thanks!
