Hi, I'm trying to calculate my BMR to get a correct number of calories I need a day. I'm doing the Insanity work out and I have a 10 months old energetic baby. Should I choose my activity level to Very Active or Moderate Active? I feel like Very Active is for someone who runs daily and then is also on their feet all day...I need to make sure I choose the correct one as there is a 250kcal difference between the two choices...
Hope someone can help. Thank you!

On team beach body.com they have a current article that talks about necessary calories and they say when calculating your BMR, that doing one of their elite workout programs like insanity or p90x (if your following it to a t) puts you in the very active range. However, I do Turbo fire and I still count it as moderate because I want to be a accurate as possible. It's kind of a toss up.
Go with your gut, and if over the next few weeks you feel exhausted and groggy, more so then normal workout fatigue, then up your calories a little.
Good luck.

Thanks Dan. It was actually from this thread I went to FatToFit to calculate my BMR and it was at least 250kcal less than what the Insanity program calculation. I've since lowered the 1900 from Insanity to 1700 but that is choosing Very Active not moderate...0 -

I think you're right. I'll give it a try and if I'm feeling tired and groggy it's time to eat more!0
