getting Macros in

hey all! I'm following the LiveFit plan and am on week 2 of Phase 1. I'm following the nutritional guidelines almost to the T but am noticing that my sodium is between 200-500mg higher than my max and my sugars are about 20-30g higher than my max. i'm hitting everything else on point...my diary is public so please feel free to look at it. i have only been following the nutrition plan yesterday and today but i have it all logged. please dont tell me the plan is unrealistic...i am not new to this and I enjoy lifting weights and eating healthy on a regular basis. follow this plan is not a 'fad diet'...it is simply a plan for me to follow to make sure i'm getting all of my nutrition in.

also, any suggestions for egg substitutes? i'm supposed to eat 5 egg whites twice a day but i hate eggs! they make me sick and i hate the flavor and texture. maybe tofu? i can handle them better if they're hard boiled but going thru 10 eggs a day over a carton of egg whites a week sounds like it'll add up in cost very quickly.

i appreciate any insight or suggestions!

This is a fad diet and as such will be a pain in the *kitten* to follow.
My suggestion is to figure out your TDEE and just eat what you like below that number.
Its truly as simple as eating below TDEE for the day.

@Ashley I see your Almond MIlk has 15 gms of sugar. Can you do the unsweetened Almond Milk and maybe use Xylitol or similar non-sugar substitute? Also that Dannon is not as Lite & Fit as the name would suggest. It is relatively high in sugar. If you don't like eggs then the soft tofu could be a help. You can get cartons of egg whites at the store if cracking and sifting eggs is also part of the turnoff.

But in the end I agree with Dan in that you have to have a meal plan that you can live with forever. Not sure if tofu for breakfast fits into that in the "Egg McMuffin" world we live in:wink:

thanks for the suggestion, but it's not really a 'fad diet' for me. i think its a pretty well balanced intake and I have to have guidelines to follow or else i will not eat due to a medical condition. my TEE is 1800 and i will only eat 700-900 calories if i have no plan to follow.

in my opinion, you cannot try to workout a bad diet and it does matter what you put in your body. if youre only eating 1200 calories, but it's 1200 calories of junk food, your body is not able to thrive on nutrition. it does matter what choices you make and what you put in your body.

thanks for the suggestions! i will definitely have to look into the unsweetened almond milk! i only bought the lite and fit because it was 0% fat. I do have the carton of eg whites, but i just really hate eggs. i'll have to try out tofu next week :)
