Change of lifestyle

Hi
I'm Jade and I've decided to change my lifestyle. I am currently slightly overweight and want to lose about half a stone, so nothing too drastic, but what I'm more concerned about is the way I live, the foods I eat and potential problems that might cause later on in life.
I have been doing kickboxing twice a week for a year and a half, so I'm not completely sedentary, but I want to improve. I've started running on the 3 days I'm not at kickboxing and I am now carefully watching my food intake.
I've only just begun my journey, but the motivation I feel and the energy I am getting from my new range of foods (fruits, veg, etc) is unbelievable.
