How did you set your weight loss goal?

When I started getting healthy again last summer at 185 pounds, my goal was to hit 160. Then I started losing steadily, and my goal became 150. Now I think I could be healthy at 140.

How have other people set their goals?

My initial goal was 50 @ 50 (since I was turning 50 last year and I wanted to lose 50LBs). Once I did it, I was adjusting it 2 pounds at the time, because I was afraid to set anything bigger. I just hit my 180LBs. My next goal is 178. :-/

I don't like to set specific scale number goals. Tbh I'm doing this almost exclusively out of vanity and I'm already on the smaller side so even 2-3lbs is a big difference on me. I'm at 16% body fat right now, so my next goal is to get to 14%. I could potentially do that without even losing weight if I put on more muscle.

I feel like I'm doing this out of vanity now too. Although 19 lbs on someone who is 6'1" is actually not all that much.
