Hello! Time for a change!

I'm 36 year old and I'm 238lbs (not going to put 240 damnit!) pounds and I have a Body Fat % of just under 30%. That makes me "slightly Obese". Wow, that's not cool.
My wife has been a Vegetarian/Vegan for almost 3 years now, and started going to the gym about 2 months ago regularly. She's always been very fitness minded and quiet frankly hot as hell, but she wanted to not just be toned but gain some mass as well....but that's her story. About 3 weeks ago I decided to be a good husband and head to the gym with her and give it a shot.
I followed my wife's workout plan and just added some weight and tried to follow along, and being the proud guy I am I pushed my self well beyond my limits for a guy who hasn't actually lifted weights in the gym accept for once or twice maybe 15 years ago.
The next few days my joints were killing me and I was in a lot of pain, and at that point I would have generally said screw this, I'm not going to put myself through that, but luckily she had an off day after that first workout and the next two days after that worked on other body parts, so by the time my arms and shoulders came back around I was surprised to find that I could actually do the workout again.
At that point I thought to myself that this might actually be something I could do if i stuck to it, and so far, other than taking one day off I've been to every one of my wife's workout days and have started to develop my own plans and goals with the help of BB.com.
I know that one of the biggest challenges for me going forward isn't necessarily going to be motivating myself to go to the gym and lift the weights, it's going to be changing my diet.
By trade, I'm an IT Manager, so as you can imagine I do 95% of most of my work either behind my desk or in a server room. So not only have I never really worked out, but my work and hobbies are very sedimentary. But it's my love of fast food and processed foods that going to be the biggest hurdle for me. But I'm going to give it a go. My wife is pretty much a self proclaimed nutritionist so if I ever need to know what to eat i only need ask her.
Tonight was a big step, i ate fish and a side of Broccoli....if that doesn't speak of determination I don't know what does. LOL
