Confidence needed

hi i used to love sports, however over the last couple of years i stopped doing it. i know want to get back into running however i have no confidence and feel self conscious and get anxiety. does anyone have any tips on how to get over this and enjoy running??

    Go out after dark, or start trail running.

    ...and yeah go running a few times and it will be much better

    listen to some music you enjoy and forget everyone around you ! they won't really notice you ( and I mean that in a nice way )

    Try going early in the morning. There are fewer people out at that time, and you'll look awesome for doing it. Whenever I see people out running in the dark and cold of the early morning I always think to myself, "Man! That guy/girl is hardcore!" no matter what shape they're in or what speed they're going.
