If you can do any type of workout at all (even just walking) during TOM it really helps the cramps.

As to weighing in, just wait a few days or a week between weigh ins, no big deal.

Hey buddy! :) I up my fluid intake to 14 glasses of water the few days before and continue through the week. That seems to take care of the fluid retention which is the reason for the weight gain. I've also noticed since I started working out almost daily, my awful cramps have subsided so I'm now able to work out regardless. My cramps used to be so bad that I had a prescription pain reliever, but not anymore! I sometimes do a lighter workout, but never skip altogether for that reason. Hope that helps. :)

Agreed! As bad as I feel, getting up and just walking helps.
I check my weight but don't record. I did and noticed the trend so I can expect it now.

Yeah, pretty much what terrie said. I have to be moving or totally still lying down. Working out lightly usually helps, I just have to make it through the warmup because I get leg aches. I make excuses to go places and walk around, like Kmart.

I used to complain a whole lot about cramps, weight gain, and overall frustration during that time, and my PCP explained that women can fluctuate up to 10 POUNDS during their cycle. 10!!! I felt so much freakin' better after I heard that from a bona fide medical professional:) For what it's worth. As for the cramps, if some movement doesn't help, just ask your PCP if you're in the realm of normal. Sometimes it's normal, sometimes it's more. I had a case of VERY curable "more" and my life is so much better now.

    Good luck!

The TOM had completely disappeared once I started here in early December. I have also had quite slow weight loss so thought they were connected. Alas not! Tom has arrived with a vengeance this week, but no weight loss. Looking at a plateau of 3 weeks!!!!!!!!
