How to get adequate protein for vegetarians like me.

Try to eat more whole foods and less processed stuff. When I first went veggie I ate a lot of those meat substitutes...veggie burgers, "chicken" and the like. I didnt really notice a change in how I felt until I stopped using so much processed stuff. Too much coffee can also be a problem. I had a serious caffeine addiction and since getting it out of my system I really feel a lot better.0

Eggs are a vegetarian's best friend, honestly - I'd incorporate as many of those into your diet as you can.
Until your cholesterol goes shooting through the roof you mean.. o.O
Recent studies have shown that dietary cholesterol actually has minimal impact on your overall levels of cholesterol, so unless your cholesterol is already pretty high, enjoy your eggs.

Also you could add multiple egg whites for each full egg. Lentil soup is great this time of year. How about fish, they dont have any feelings0

You should meet a registered dietician and develop a meal plan specific to your needs. In general, following is some advice:
- Eat 3 major meals a day, i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner, with no more than 60 carbs per meal if you are trying to lose weight and 75 if you are maintaining a healthy weight.
- eat snacks every 2-3 hours in between major meals with no more than 15 carbs per snack.
- ensure that you minimize saturated fats from your diet
- ensure you consume 75-100 gms of protien and up to 1gm/lb if involved in intense weight training
- All of the above will not make you hungry all at once making you eat multiple servings.
- As to protein - you have many choices in whole grain bread, pasta, beans and legumes, soy patties, greek yogurt (very high in protien), Quinea.

Strawberries and cream is the best tasting in my opinion. Just a word of caution, not knowing how much you know about protein, your total protein intake should not exceed the daily recommended allowance by much, unless you are lifting intense weights or you risk stressing out your kidneys.
