First Time Blogging...Ever

I signed up for MFP in January 2011 but never blogged, created a profile, or added any friends. I think making friends and sharing experiences is the key or hoping anyway. So here's my first post. Below is what I wrote today in my "about me" part of my profile. Since 2011 my wieght has fluctuated between 197 at my highest and now 182 my lowest since 8 years. Need friends for motivation.
I've always had a weight problem since my pre-teen years through today. In Jr. High and High School I weighed between 135 and 155 which does not sound like a lot but at only 5' 1 3/4" and 12 years old 135 is A LOT. I've always played sports and been fairly active but my problem has always been food. I'm almost 39 and need to stop making excuses. I'm not big boned and can weigh 135. Although at 12 years old 135 lbs. was A LOT of weight I think that at almost 39 years (still 5' 1 3/4") 135 lbs. is acceptable. For now that is my goal. I'll re-assess once I'm there.

wishing you much success....you are on your way...now just start sharing the journey with a few folks...and let's see how fast you see your new "low point" is set... I'm only 5ft 4, 41...and (here's that being transparent thing...ugh) and weigh 255. I remember when 190 hit my scale...and I thought...I'll be back down to 135 in no time. It's been over 9 yrs now... So - you just get rocking...you are AT YOUR LOWEST...IN 8 YRS...that is fantastic! Celebrate that...and do something fun and new for exercise to get that scale dropping...0

Congrats! What a milestone! You can add me if you want, but I do comment on food diaries, and can be pretty blunt at times.0
