Whey Protein and Low Blood Pressure

Okay. I feel I should share this info just in case someone else finds themselves in a similar situtuation.
Today, I took a scoop of my whey protein shake in a cup to have on my break at work because I knew it would be several hours between my lunch and when I got home. I usually have the protein shake with a banana, spinach, ground flax seeds, and frozen berries all blended together, but today it was just the powder and water. Within 10 minutes of drinking the shake I had amazing energy, concentration, and coordination. However, 20 minutes later I found I could not stop yawning and 10-15 minutes after that, I just felt weird. Still energetic and on point, but off somehow. On the drive home I began to get worried because I could barely feel my pulse and even pulled over to do a manual count. The number was very low and decided to just get home and check it on the BP monitor. It came out at 48 with my BP at 99/50. My blood pressure is normally around 116/68 and pulse around 65. So I did a quick Google search and discovered that whey protein has been shown to lower BP. This might be great for those with high BP, but for me it's very, very bad. Even after a 30 minute meditation, my BP does not get that low. Needless to say, I will not be consuming protein shakes with just water anymore. I think mixing it with other foods kept it from being absorbed so quickly and this is why I have not felt any negative side effects before.
Has anyone else had this problem?
