Clean Eating + Gluten Free= WTF can I eat?

I'm trying to get my diet together. I've lost 40 lbs so far but it's not enough. Besides the fact that I still have 70 to go I have no energy, feel like crap, am tired, and have stomach issues. I recently found out the stomach issues are due to Celiac disease. I feel that in order to achieve a healthy body that feels good and losses weight fast I must learn and apply a clean eating and gluten free dietary plan. I need ideas and help though. I do ask that you not suggest movies and books. Also feel free to add me if you are on a similar journey and can help me when I log if there is something in there that shouldn't be. Thanks!!!!

One specific thing you can try adding in to your diet is quinoa - if you want something that resembles a grain (most people classify it as a grain despite it being a seed), but it is delicious, very nutritious, and gluten free. You can find a variety of recipes that include quinoa, but I enjoy eating it plain and then just adding in spices.
Of course you can still include fresh veggies, fruit, eggs, and fresh meats that are not breaded (but I found gluten free breaded chicken strips that are very good!) I think you will be surprised by how many foods have a gluten-free version nowadays. You still have lots of options with being on a gluten free diet - you can even find cereal that is gluten free cereal. (Puffins makes a couple gluten free cereals).0 -
I'm coeliac, too. Hi.
Uh, there's literally millions of things you can eat. Just anything that has no gluten. Fruit. Vegetables. Starches. Meat. Dairy. Eggs. Sure, you can go for GF products if you like, but IMO they taste like crap.
You can also bake our own products at home for your own GF products that don't taste like donkey-balls using different flours, like coconut, corn, potato starch, protein powder, etc.0 -
Piles of stuff. There is so much new food for you to try. Yay for cooking! I love it0

All plain lean meats, all fish and seafood, any beans, any lentils, brown basmati rice, brown rice noodles, sweet potatoes, all plain tree nuts, all plain seeds, all fruit and all veggies, natural unflavoured/ no added crap dairy products, eggs.
Just choose stuff that looks much the same as when it came off the plant or animal, is not wheat rye or barley and only has one or two ingredients and you won't go too far wrong. I believe sauces and boxed stuff with ingredients lists and brand names is a nightmare for gluten but most products don't fit into a truly clean lifestyle anyway. And most fake gluten free breads and pastas are neither healthy nor clean so I wouldn't eat them any more than you should (am not coeliac but avoiding grains at present).
Has your doctor recommended any supplements - vitamins/ minerals/ fish oils/ free dried probiotics?0
