The 5;2 diet is basically fasting on 2 days out of the 7. ill go through my weekly plan with you. Im from Uk so forgive my foody things lol.
Sunday 2pm i have my usual roast dinner with trimmingsd and usually i finish any kind of food intake at around 4pm after a slice of toast or something. Ithen do not eat anything from then right the way through to 6pm Monday even9ng where i have a 500 calorie meal (gie or take what calories i take out for milk in tea etc) then i eat nothing again until tuesday where i eat the recommended calories that Myfitnespal recommends. i eat normally wednesday and stop eating at 6pm wednesday night and fast all the way through to 6pm thursday with the usual tea with milk. and then eat my 500 cal or less meal. I dont eat anything else until friday and continue to eat as normal rest fo the days.
I chose Monday and Thursday as its easier in our household but you can chose any days. And yu must not consume more then 500 calories in those 24 hours of fasting. I chose to have it all in one meal but you can spread the 500 cals throughout the day if you choose but if you do the 24 hours and then a meal it increases IGF-1 levels which appreamtly are really good health benefits.
