I watched a youtube video about diet drinks which made me want to stop drinking them. I'm going to try cutting them down to when absolutely necessary (ie saturday nights!)

I'd reread the article, doesn't say anything about leading to depression0 -

It definitely says soda causes depression0 -
I recently stopped using sweeteners in my tea due to research I had found to suggest the link between Aspartame (found in artificial sweetener) and depression and even cancer. I have suffered with post natal depression followng the birth of my daughter and want to do everything to avoid worsening the condition.0

Far too many things in life can lead to depression so I don't think it's fair to say diet drinks are to blame.
You could make that same assumption between depression and consuming meat products.
Diet drinks get too much of a bad rap when nothing has been actually proven.0 -

were you drinking a fuzzy drink while reading it?0 -
Does this article factor in the attitudes that people have towards each other? Just because one study of a particular age group shows a result that is unsatisfactory, does not mean everyone should panic. Just because the baby boomers had more children during their time, does that mean people of the baby boomer age group were all nymphomaniacs?0

I'm eagerly awaiting facts not media sensationalism! ....but we all know the result will be "when consumed in moderation"0 -
I'm so sad now0

What - exactly - is a fruit squash?0

I don't care, just thought others might like to read it. I love diet drinks. They make me happy, not depressed. A fruit squash is similar to a cordial.0
