Instant oatmeal is quick but all those flavored ones have so much sugar! And I am always looking for a way to get more protein and love a quick breakfast. So I make an Instant Apple Vanilla oatmeal and it is great! Here is the info:

1 pack of Instant Quaker Oats
1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce (I use walmart brand)
1/2 scoop of syntha-6 Whey Protein Powder (whey comes in all different brands and some are worse than others as far as calories and such...check the label)
1-2 tsp of Stevia in the raw (I quit splenda because it is not natural like the Stevia is and stevia is better)
Mix it all up and enjoy. I don't add milk but if I needed it, I use Almond Milk.

40 Carbs
5 grams of fat
15 grams of protein
200mg of sodium
9 grams of sugar (8g comes from the applesauce...natural sugars)

ONLY 250 Calories!

If you want less sugar, just leave out the applesauce and use a Almond or Rice milk (like a splash of it) to mix the protein powder and Stevia in. Enjoy!
