Hello Everyone! I'm fairly new to myfitnesspal (well, about a month now, with a 3 week sabbatical). My long term goal is to lose about 40 lbs. I'm just not happy with how I feel anymore. My clothes all fit a little more snug, and I find myself not putting as much into my appearance because of it.
I was a very athletic youth, and even spent some time in the Army. As most of us know, when we grow up, we get busy, and things like our health sometimes become less of a priority. I now have a wonderful four year old son. I would like to be able to encourage him to be healthy, but I don't want to play "do as I say, not as I do."
I am considering this my week one. None of my previous failures matter, as this is my new begining. No more excuses, rationializtions, or reasons why I can't. I have been tracking all of my food and exercise. I am a member of a local gym, I am going strong. Additionally, we have a gym a my office, and today will be day two of lunch break work out sessions. I plan on doing 2 a days as long as I can in order to stay motivated.
Im looking for any friendly motivation I can get. This has finally become a priority for me. I know its not going to be easy, but for me, it is finally worth it!
Good Luck everyone!
Amy
