How much is too much protein? Is there a magic amount to stick by??

I was told 60 to 80 g a day dont go over 100 becuase its too much for the body to process.0

This is not true.
Unless you have a kidney is, there isn't really a defined quantity of how much protein you can consume. You should consume around 1g of protein per lb of lean body mass. I eat over 200g of protein a day. If you don't know your body fat, just take your weight x 70% or 80%.. And aim around there. Also, heavy weight training will also aid in muscle preservation.
So a person who is 150 lbs shoudl aim for should aim for 105 - 115g of protein a day.0
