Best Supplements for a low calorie diet

I am jump starting my diet with 2 weeks of ~1000 calories a day. Doing some low weight, high rep lifting, as well as daily cardio. Only eating fruits, veggies, non-fat dairy, and lean meats during that time. I'm taking a daily multi-vitamin, and a thermogenic to help with energy and metabolism. Making sure I get a ton of protein each day. Just wondering if there is something like fish oil or some other dietary supplement I should be taking during this period. Thanks.

Common approach to "I want it now" weight loss. Try a different approach.

I would take fish oil regardless. At least 800mg's. Actually lowered my cholesterol levels noticeable (who would have thought, taking in cholesterol to lower your cholesterol).0

Yes: another few hundred calories of nutrient dense foods preferably ones rich in minerals and fibre in like cocoa, nuts, seeds, beans and lentils - you've eliminated food groups seemingly at random. Or ask the doctor or dietician that recommended this to you instead of randoms on a forum most of whom have no qualifications in nutrition and dietetics. Why not just eat canned oily fish? Fish oils, protein, vitamins and minerals in one package. It makes no sense to eat chicken breast which is low in nutrients and then add fish oils, that =/= the benefits of fish.
Your body cannot tell the difference between a crash diet and a famine. Low calorie diet diet plus exercise plus any supplement that boosts adrenaline levels is a fast track to systemic inflammation, adrenal fatigue, overtraining syndrome or injury. Even athletes don't just do daily exercise, they cycle easy and hard days, easy and hard weeks and they incorporate rest days. Low weight high rep lifting, why bother?0 -

Purely from a healthy cholesterol intake POV, fish oils actually do = the benefits of fish (it is after all, literally oil extracted from fish as opposed to being a nutrient that is synthetically formulated). However, you really do need to take in at least 800mg of it daily for it to have any real effect on the body. Now, that's just from the healthy cholesterol aspect of it, as actual fish is also high in other nutrients. That's essentially what most of these supplements are for, to fill in holes in your nutritional profile for the day.0 -

You are going to try to do 2 weeks of 1000cal a day AND lift and exercise? Are you nuts?0
