So I'm going swimming tonight, but it wont really be that much swimming involved for me cause I'll be watching my son. I will be in the pool and doing some swimming/watching/helping him. So I'm not sure if i should even log this as exercise of not? Any suggestions.

I would and have in the past. Even though you don't feel like you're doing much, it's better than nothing! You may be surprised at how many calories you actually burned!

    Hope you have fun!

We took our daughter swimming the other night for about 90 minutes. My wife and I traded off so we could get some laps in too.

There is an exercise in the MFP database called "Swimming, leisurely, general" so I just entered 30 minutes of that.

I was shocked to see how many calories MFP granted me (448) for that bit of exercise.

I didn't quite trust that number though, so I didn't eat back those calories.

I'd say just try and figure out how much time you actually spent swimming (vs standing in the shallow end) and go with that.
