Hola!
I just registered with USAPL, as competing is on my bucket list and 2013 seems like a great year to do it. I don't have high aspirations or anything....I just want to give it my best and say that I've done it. I have been weight training since June of 2012, getting really serious about the compound lifts at the end of October. My numbers are tiny, but I am ok with that....since they are better than when I started. There are five competitions in my area this year: Feb, June, Aug, Oct, and Dec. I think Oct. or Dec. would be the best option, so I can have a good, solid year+ of training before stepping up on a platform.
I am looking for friends/mentors that have competed, are competing, planning to compete to help me along on my path.
Thanks!

No plans for the near future, but I too aspire to be able to power lift (a respectable amount lol) I have been "lifting" for over year. . .maybe two? (I did baby weights, though, because that is what my trainer taught me
) and just a few weeks ago got serious and am starting compounds. Still pretty low weight, but it's getting better
