Sort of...

I joined about two weeks ago, but recently decided to start posting in the forums.

I obviously want to lose weight, but I want to improve my overall health. Right now I'm working on changing the way I eat, and balancing my meals. I'm staying within my calorie goals right now, but I'm still not eating as healthy as I think I should be.

I suppose I just need to take things one step at a time. I am becoming more aware of what I'm eating. Portion control was a huge thing for me. Now I'm taking the time to see how much I should be eating instead of just piling stuff on my plate.

My food log is only open to my friends.

I'm open to making friends here, but if I've never talked to you I may be a little hesitant to accepting a friend request.

I'm also new, officially started on New Year's like, I'm sure many did and do. So far I'm just trying to get into changing some of the bad habits and not expect to be perfect,. That's the hardest part. Bought a pedometer today and did a 1.3 mile walk. I hope to make this a regular thing. I know the exercise would be so beneficial for lazy me. I've been keeping up with the food diary pretty well, that's a new thing for me, I've tried it before and it was always easy to "edit" what you eat.

    Good luck to you.

I haven't lost any pounds yet, but I AM losing weight. I've lost about an inch off all my measurements in the two weeks I've been on. The scale is being stubborn though, it doesn't seem to want to budge. I can only assume that since I exercise everyday I am gaining muscle, but it's still frustrating. I'm glad I am doing the measurements too though. If I went by weight alone I think I would end up giving up pretty quickly.

Thank you all for the warm welcomes. I'm looking forward to being active. I think having people that I a sort of checking in with it'll keep me motivate.
