I was an arrogant newbie once.

I believed what I believed (which was wrong) and it took a humbling moment for me to recognise this.

For me, this was that I believed that because I was below average weight, I must need below average calories, and my humbling moment came when I kept losing at over 2000kcal and also started hot flushing if I ate too much and found out I was anaemic. I had eaten too little for me and it had taken its toll.

Your belief and your humbling moment will be different, but don't go burning your bridges with all the most knowledgeable, inspirational members here. Someday you may need them.

    Well said.

It's been 5 years since I started this fitness journey and I have never stopped learning. I laugh at what I use to believe when I first started.

Unlike many I have noticed, I always kept an open mind.

Agreed. Humility doesn't need to stop when you stop being a newbie though. Best to keep that around for a lifetime. Not always successful myself but someone is always there to remind me.
