To lose or to loose.... that is the question

Sorry if this comes off as a demeaning rant, but I am about fed up with posters using "loose" in place of "lose". Sorry, I was taught by nuns in Catholic school and this stuff is forever embedded in my brain -- and it drives me insane !!

Lesson 1:

If you're trying to lose weight, it's spelled l-o-s-e.
If your pants are fitting better, then your pants are loose. And that is spelled l-o-o-s-e.

You are not here to "loose" weight. Get it?

Next lesson will cover the use of "your" and "you're". Refer to above lesson to see some examples of that too. Thank you. :)

i think this is the second post on this same subject today.

the people who need to learn the lesson don't care to learn the lesson so it will continue to be an annoyance until those annoyed finally give up and just deal with it.

    Lesson 2:

Take a quick scan of existing (and very recent) threads before making a new one.
