I just watchd this show, Hungry For Change on Netflix. I would recommand this to everyone, even the ones that have lost the weight and has learned about foods and body. It breaks things down clear for you to understand, they compare sugar and flour to the drug cocoain, they tell you what detox does and how good it can do for your body. It talks about diet sodas and how bad they actually are. It's a really great show. Just watch it if you have netflix!

Sounds good. Personally, i cringe when someone I know drinks diet soda in front of me. My mother, after several years of drinking copious amounts of diet soda, suddenly had a period that didn't stop for almost a year! She ended up hospitalized, and the doctor at the time (this was in the early 80's) was doing research on dozens of patients he had who had bizarre and serious problems and the only thing in common was they all consumed lots of NutraSweet or other artificial sweeteners. He told my mother if she wanted to live, she would have to give up artificial sweeteners. My mother nearly died...and so I never touch the stuff.0

Oh wow.
Yeah after I watched that I thought about some of the headaches I've been having and I think it's due to the artificial sweeteners, mostly aspartame in a lot of foods. I will differently cut back on a lot of those. Would like to cut it out for good but one day at a time for me.0 -
I am currently streaming this as well and came to MFP to share it. Glad I did a search first
Very informative and puts things into perspective. Hits deeper if you understand the science behind it to begin with, and all of the "big" words.
I'm really getting into these Netflix documentaries!0 -
Yeah, I'ma have to watch it again and write down the big things I need to remember. The big words I have to look up and understand more. When they was talking about the blueberry muffins and what the "blueberry" actually is in the processed muffins, I went to my kitchen and threw out my blueberry muffin mix. That was just nasty!0
