How much fiber is to much !!!

I had alot of fiber today..ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh how much is too much !!! I think i know the answer is nothing is to much..my belly is very loud this evening !!!

    "Too much" would be in the range of 60grams+ of fiber a day, and even that won't really hurt you. The big thing is you have to slowly adjust your diet to include more fiber. If you go from getting 10g a day up to 50g a day overnight you're going to be gassy, crampy, and your belly will be very loud.

    I completely agree with msarro. It sucks, but every good thing we take into our bodies (like water and fiber) must accumulate over time (if you drink too much water too quickly you will pee every half hour). My suggestion is to add fiber to your daily nutrition info on myfitnesspal.com. It will tally up your total like everything else. 20 to 25 grams is about the best level a person can achieve in a day. So start smaller and look forward to "relieving" yourself from some of your weight. Going poo is much faster and less likely to cause problems (like hemorrhoids) when a daily requirement of fiber has been achieved for a while.
  • There is no such thing as too much fibre really once you are drinking enough water too. Problems only really occur when you up your fibre intake too quickly which will lead to discomfort for a while until your body gets used to that amount.

    awesome guys thanks so much ! i been eating about 20-25 grams of fiber a day ! without even realizing it ! i track the fiber on here becuase im so stuck on my weight watcher ways of cal-fat-fiber :)
