MFP or Walkmeter - which calorie count is more accurate?

I just started using MFP in the new year - love it so far. I am walking 1x or 2x daily. At first I just used the MFP calorie count but I started using Walkmeter and that calorie burn is significantly higher! Which is more accurate? Which should I use?

Old topic, but I'm looking for the same info. I'm struggling to determine how the counts are so different. The # of steps counted appears to be fairly similar, but walkmeter will tell me 75 calories for a walk that MFP counts 25 calories for.
Both programs take into account height/weight/sex, so I assumed they'd be more accurate. Are there more things taken into account from MFP that i'm not aware of in calculating calories? Or is it simply different theories/alogarhythms for guessing at a number that is likely tough to guess based off the motion of a single device and a couple quick stats?0
