Getting back on track. Is this a good plan?

So about a month-ish before Christmas, I came on here and discovered that I had been eating way too few calories, around 800 I think, sometimes less. I had been exercising also using an exercise bike and I lost 2 and a half stone in about 3 months. I didn't know at the time that it would be that bad for me and I was also told that nearly half of my weight loss was probably muscle. After I learned that then I gradually upped my calories, 100 a week until I got upto 1400-1500 and stopped exercising. I was really worried that doing this would make me gain weight but oh well, I wanted to diet the healthy way.
During Christmas I didn't count my calories or weigh myself, I think I ate around 1600-2000. Now I thought this would make me gain a bunch of weight but I weighed today and I've actually lost around 2 pounds.
Now I want to get back on track, so my plan is to basically do what I was doing before Christmas except obviously eating more calories (1400) than I was before, more protein and exercising on my bike for around 45 minutes. Is that a healthy amount and should I lose weight by doing this? My BMR is around 1300-1400 calories.
My goal weight before was 10 stone (I'm 10 and a half now, was 13 stone when I started) but since I've been told that I've lost muscle then this time I want to lose about 1 and a half stone of fat, so now my goal is 9 stone.

Tracking progress via weight is so self defeating.
Here's why:
See how they're the same weight? But look at the sizes. You can be the fat filled 9 stone person that can't fit in smaller sizes, or the 10 stone person that looks better in clothes.0 -
well at 13 stone I was a size 16, now at 10 and a half stone I'm a size 12 and I've lost around 3-4 inches from my stomach, hips and thighs. I've seen people say that from an almost 3 stone weight loss, they've lost a lot more than 3-4 inches.
I would like to be a size 10 but I'm unsure of how much fat I'd have to lose before I'm that size.0 -
