For those that work night shift.. when do you start?

I work from 6 pm to 6 am six days a week. I have been starting my day at 6 pm until I go to bed the next day. The problem with that is that my Fitbit and my MFP stats are tricky. Right now, I haven't been to bed yet so Im still calculating on MPF for yesterday but my fitbit is on todays stats.

I would like to start each day at midnight and just make sure that I stay within my calories since one day will cover two days in my life.

Anything wrong with doing it that way? I would appreicate any help that you can provide so much!
